It's been a while.....

Well, I guess I'm back.  I really have no excuse for being away so long other than life got in the way.  I'm going to do my best to post regularly from this point on, even if it is just a random drive-by posting like I did with the 2 Cellos posting.  But you have to admit, that video was pretty damn cool.  I had no idea you could do that with cellos.  Anyway, I digress, as I have a tendency to do.  So let's get down to the business at hand and talk about why I am posting.

As anyone who knows me will tell you, I am a huge Dr. Who fan.  A true Whovian through and through. And my love for all things Who is what has brought about this post.  While I was trolling around in the TARDIS (That's what my iPad is named, geeky huh?), I came across a Gallifreyan Transliterator.  Now for those of you that have no idea what that is, it is a program that translates English to Gallifreyan (the native language of Gallifrey and the Timelords).  Okay, okay, I know, I know what you're thinking.  We have gone into ubergeek mode now and you know what? You're right but that's okay because, well, it's my blog and I can take it wherever I want.  So, ubergeekdom here we come!!! Wait, is ubergeekdom really a word? Hmmm? It is now! So where was I? Hmmm....Dr. Who.....TARDIS.....transliterator....yeah, that was it.  So I found this transliterator and started playing around with it.  Not only could I now write in Gallifreyan, I could save the images too.  Needless to say, I started posting to Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr and then it hit me.  I should post this to my blog. So here I am, posting about this awesome (geeky) Java program that allows me to write in Gallifreyan.  Here are a few things that I have written with the program.
The name of this blog, Are Friends Electric?, written in Gallifreyan.

My name written in Gallifreyan

If anyone is interested in grabbing this wonderfully odd program, you can find it here.  It's a simple little Java program but the performance is out of this world.  So if you are a geek like me and want to fall deeper down the rabbit hole of ubergeekdom (I really love that word), go grab the program and share your creations with me and the rest of the world.

Well, until next time...........
