Dune Trailer

I was excited when I heard there was going to be a remake of Dune. I mean, after all, I was a fan of the 1984 movie and the book so why wouldn't I be excited? Then, once I heard Zendaya was going to star in it, that was just icing on the cake.  But now, after seeing this trailer for the movie, all I can say is December can't get here fast enough.

Mark it down folks, December 18, this wonderful looking adaptation hits theaters. I can't wait!

RIP King T’Challa

In February 2018, the world was introduced to the 18th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Black Panther. Actor Chadwick Boseman reprised his role as King T’Challa (aka Black Panther) in what was a sequel to both Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War. Later that same year, Boseman would appear as Black Panther in Avengers: Infinity War where he would fall victim to The Snap from Thanos, effectively killing him (and 3 billion others) and wiping T’Challa out of existence. Luckily, in 2019's Avengers: Endgame, the surviving Avengers found a way to reverse The Snap and bring their fallen brothers back, including T’Challa. So, thanks to the magic of movies, Chadwick Boseman’s character was able to defeat death. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a movie.

Sadly, on August 28, 2020, it was announced that Boseman had lost his four year battle against colon cancer. Boseman, who also starred in the Jackie Robinson biopic 42 as well as the James Brown biopic Get On Up, was 43 years old when he passed away at his California home with his wife and family by his side. Another young man lost too soon.

Rest in Power Mr. Boseman! Wakanda Forever!

Gotham Knights?

What could bring Red Hood, Robin, Batgirl, and Nightwing together? The death of Bruce Wayne of course. Wayne’s untimely death, ostensibly at the hands of the Court of Owls, leads this quartet to try and fill Batman’s cowl... um, shoes as the protector(s) of Gotham City. At least this is what seems to be the premise of the forthcoming open-world RPG, Batman Gotham Knights. Here’s the trailer:

This looks like another one I’ll be grabbing when it’s released. You can expect it in 2021 and it will be available for the PS4 and PS5 (also on the Xbox platforms if you’re one of those) as well as PC. Thoughts?

Outlaw or Legend?

I know I’m a little late to the game but I just saw the trailer for Hood: Outlaws and Legends which is coming to the PS4 and PS5 in 2021. A dark take on the Robin Hood storyline Sumo Digital may be on to something here. Check out the trailer below:

Based on that video alone, I am intrigued and can’t wait to grab it up! What do you think?

Rebooting?

Am I rebooting this blog? Maybe. Maybe not. Don’t think of it as so much of a reboot but more of a unplugging then plugging it back in sort of thing. While the rest of the world is uncertain with Covid, I have been battling my own health issues. While I’ll be battling these issues for the rest of my life, I figured why not start blogging again, so you have the “reboot.” So grab your towel, pour yourself a Pangalactic Gargleblaster and enjoy!

Twitter banning dehumanizing tweets

Twitter recently announced that it was going to start banning dehumanizing tweets. That’s interesting since half of the tweets that a certain Cheeto-looking official in DC tweets either dehumanizes, discriminates or pretty much just demeans anyone that he disagrees with. Are they’re going to ban his tweets? I seriously doubt it considering that they say his tweets are part of the public interest because of his position. How is it in the public interest to alienate the population of United States? There are some who hang on every word he says but for the majority of the population all it does is create tension, racial divide and anger.

The Verge posted this article about the changes.
You can read the full article here. So what do do you think of Twitter’s changes? Will they make a difference or will we still see the same hatred that bubbles up every now and then, especially from the Cheeto in Chief? Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below.

The clock on the wall says it’s time to go. Well... um not really.  I don’t actually have a clock on the wall but I really don’t have anything else to post right now. So... um... see ya?

The Last of Us series?

Did you play The Last of Us? Are you like me and anxiously awaiting the release of The Last of Us Part 2? Well, some news has recently come out of the HBO world about a series based on the game. The great part of this is that the game’s writer is involved. This means it should at least follow the game somewhat instead of going it’s own direction.

Here’s a preview of an article from The Verge announcing the series.
You can read the full article here.  Needless to say, I’m really intrigued by this news and can’t wait to check it out. What do you think?

I guess that’s it for now so I’ll get out of here and catch you later! Peace!

Let’s try this again!

Well, it’s been a minute (more like months) since I’ve been on here. I apologize for my absence but it was unavoidable. I’ve been battling some really complex health issues since last June and it’s had a major impact on my life. I won’t really delve into that right now. Maybe later I’ll talk about it but for now, let’s just stay focused on having a good time.  Hopefully I’ll be able to regularly update here so make sure you check back.

Until next time, peace & hair grease & I’m out!

I'm back! And bringing the P-Funk!

Yeah, yeah, yeah! I know! It's been a minute since I posted on here. Unfortunately, I've been battling some serious health problems and I still have a long way to go. But I thought, meh, what the hell? Might as well try to start posting again and well..., here I am! To kick things back off, what better way than to bring some P-Funk. So here is George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars with a Tiny Desk Concert.

Well, that's it for now funky froods! Remember to stay funky! Peace & B-Wild!
