Life is just a game!!!! Video game that is.

Not really but lately it has seemed that way for me.  Work has really been stressing me out lately so how have I dealt with it? I fired up the PS4 of course.  I haven't posted much on here about gaming, well, at least not in a while, so I thought I would throw out a few games I've been playing.  So, here we go.
First up is Destiny.  A while back I was anticipating the release of two games, Destiny and Battlefield Hardline.  I had pre-ordered both and time couldn't past fast enough.  A friend of mine, Simon, had posted on his blog that he was actually alpha testing Destiny and beta testing BH.  So I asked his opinion on the two and he said his money was going to Destiny.  So, valuing his opinion, I had decided to focus on Destiny.  That decision later became a moot point as BH was pushed back to next year.  Well, let me just say this now. SIMON WAS RIGHT!!!! Destiny was definitely a hit.  I loved the graphic and the interactive world.  Once I got it, I couldn't really stop playing.  I would get home from work around 11:00 pm and I would be up until 3 or 4 in the morning playing.  It was definitely my gaming addiction. After I finally completed the single player story line, I started looking for my next "fix" especially since I am not that much into playing online with people I don't know.
So my next fix came in the guise of basketball with NBA2k15.  Typical sports game with most of the standard features we are all used to but they did manage to mix it up a bit.  I usually create my own player and play in career mode. This time, instead of you being drafted and pretty much guaranteed a spot on the team, you are an undrafted rookie and have to play your way on to a team through a series of 10-day contracts.  So began my career in basketball. I thought about taking it to the next extreme with my "career" but decided not to.  What I mean is, I created a player in MLB The Show and played in career mode working my way up through the minor leagues.  But I didn't stop there.  I created a blog "about my life and struggle to make it to The Show."  I also created a Twitter account to go along with my player so "I" would have a social media presence.  Believe it or not, I actually had people following my player both on Twitter and the blog.  Anyway, I digress, so back to our originally scheduled programming.  After starting my career, that became my addiction after work.  That was until CoD:AW came out.
That's right folks.  Next up on my video game playlist is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.  Typical CoD type game that I was able to run through pretty quickly (at least the single player mode).  It helped break the stress from work as I could come home and blow some stuff up (LOL!).  I finished up with it just in time too.  Because the day that I had been waiting for had finally arrived.  November 11th was finally here.  This happens to be my birthday but that's not why I was excited. Nope, not at all.  I was excited for the arrival of.....
Assassin's Creed Unity was here.  And that is where I am as we speak.  Exploring France and learning my trade as an assassin since some of the controls are different.  So far, it seems to be everything that I had hoped.  I'll try to keep you updated on how it's going but I have to go now.  France is calling!!!!!!!!

I recently discovered something about myself (Drive-by posting)

I'm absolutely almost positive I've become a novice expert at silently screaming carefully thought out spontaneous fictional facts.

Just saying!

Did George Clinton influence the logo of 3rdEyeGirl and the cover of Art Official Age?

Everyone knows that I have long been a fan of Prince and purple music.  As a matter of fact, this blog came about because I abandoned my other blog that was dedicated to the Purple One.  When I abandoned the Playground, I decided then that I would not blog about Prince here.  But that was then and this is now (hopefully he won't sue me for borrowing a lyric). Prince has recently been back in the international spotlight with his band 3rdEyeGirl and the simultaneous release of their album 'Plectrum Electrum' with his "solo" album 'Art Official Age'.  I'm not going to critique the albums here but I do wonder about the look of both.  I wonder if the logo of 3rdEyeGirl and the cover of Prince's album were influenced by George Clinton? We all know that P borrows from others and I think that maybe he borrowed from Dr. Funkenstein with 3EG and AOA.  This is not some kind of conspiracy theory or some type of derogatory rant.  It is simply me thinking way too much which usually causes me to end up with some rambling post like this.  Anyway, I digress.  So, to get us started, let me digress even more.

[Cue up dreamy flashback music
So a couple of years ago, I actually stumbled upon an interesting bit of information about an unreleased song by P that he had been including in his act for years.  The song was called 'Electric Man' and he would often include it at the end of various songs live (For example, he would often include it at the end of 'The Question of U' during the Nude Tour). So for years, all of us wanted to hear the studio version of this song if there was one.  Then one day while digging through the crates, I came across a Muddy Waters album entitled 'Unk in Funk' from 1974.  On this album is a song called 'Electric Man' and I thought, "Wow, what a coincidence."  Then when I listened to it, I realized it was the same song Prince was playing.  Prince was only using the first verse but it was the exact same song.  I shared my discovery with the folks over at the Org and it even led to some info being changed on the Prince Vault. I'm not bragging but I was sort of proud that I could finally supply some information to the Purple Army that no one else had discovered yet (well, at least if they had they hadn't shared it).
[End dreamy flashback music]

Now, this isn't a breakthrough like 'Electric Man' (if that can count as a breakthrough) but I thought this was interesting. I was watching a movie called 'Finding the Funk' and when they were talking to George Clinton, they showed some interesting pictures. They were George with a third eye in the middle of his forehead.  When I saw it, I was like, "WTF?!?!?!" There is even a picture of George with sunglasses with a third lens.  Hmm... where have I seen that before?  Here are two pics from the movie.

Now, that last picture is really familiar.  Big afro, three eyes and three lens sunglasses.  Hmmmm.....
Now, I'm not saying that Prince stole the idea of the album cover or anything like that.  I would like to think that he is actually paying homage to Brother George and the P-Funk legacy.  And did Prince maybe get the concept for 3rdEyeGirl from George? Was it a collaboration from back in the day?  Is it all just coincidence (which I don't believe in at all)? Is this just me trying to stir the pot? Who actually knows the answers besides P and he ain't talking. Anyway, I just thought this was interesting.  What do you think?

Explanation of time according to Dr. Who?

As any of you who know me can attest, I am somewhat of a geek or a nerd.  More like an uber-geek I guess you could say.  Despite that, I have only just started watching Dr. Who on Netflix. I'm only on the third season but I am definitely hooked.  Anyway, while watching the episode from the third season with the "angels of death," The Doctor describes time to Sally Sparrow.  Now when he said it, I actually had to stop the show because I started laughing so hard.  Then I backed it up and watched it again.  Through the rest of the show, all I could think about was his definition but instead of The Doctor saying it, I imagined Albert Einstein or Stephen Hawking saying it.  The entire thought of them lecturing to their colleagues and using The Doctor's definition caused me to laugh uncontrollably.  So, I jumped on the internet and Instagram and found several postings of The Doctor's quote about time.  The version I liked the best is below.  I got it off the internet and unfortunately I don't know the original creator of the pic but all credit show go to them.
Now, after reading that, can't you imagine Einstein standing up and talking to Erwin Schrodinger, Werner Heisenberg, Max Planck or Niels Bohr? How about imagining it in Stephen Hawking's computerized voice?  It's probably just me but for some reason I think it is funny as hell.  I don't know.  Maybe it is just me.

Just an unbelievable picture

So last night, after storms swept through the area, the world took on this surreal appearance that was hard to believe.  Everything had this ominous orange/yellow glow to it.  Someone, and I'm not sure who, managed to take this awesome shot of the downtown Nashville skyline during this time and they posted it on Instagram.  It was on @nashvilletn.  So all credit goes to the original photographer but I had to share his awesome picture with you.
I found out the original photographer is on Instagram and can be found at @wanderlustimagery so all credit to the picture above should go to them.

Super Moon 2014

So we had another Super Moon tonight.  I say another because we also had one in July and we are supposed to have another one in September.  Three months in a row with a Super Moon is rather unusual.  In case you don't know what a Super Moon is, it is a full moon that occurs when the moon's orbit brings it its closest to the Earth.  Most of the time a full moon will look large when it's rising but a Super Moon looks even bigger.  I managed to set up my camera outside and catch a few shots of this Super Moon and I thought I would share them with you.

Hippy blood running through my veins!!

And through my mind. I don't know why but I woke up with this song floating around in my head. If you haven't heard it, track down Hippy Blood by Ingrid Chavez.

My namesake!?!?!?!

The song that was the inspiration for the name of my little blog. From the Top of the Pops in 1979:

And an updated version from 2011:

You are a spork!!!!

So the other day I read about this waste of protoplasm up in New York who is suing ESPN, Major League Baseball, the announcers for the Red Sox - Yankees game and the New York Yankees for $10 million.  So what did they all do that was so bad?  This spork of the month (and spork of the year nominee) fell asleep in the stands during the 4th inning and ended up on the air.  Seriously. The cameras caught him asleep, the announcers made a few passing comments and then they went about their business of calling the game.  They never said anything derogatory or defaming but they are all being sued for defamation.  Seriously? Are you that big of a tool?  Who is this poster child for the need for retroactive abortion?  His name is Andrew Rector and he is definitely a spork! Check out the video below:

And here is the lawsuit:

And for those of you who don't know what a spork is, it is a part spoon and part fork that you get from a fast food place.  I always say that some people aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer.  Others aren't even a knife.  So I call them sporks!!! In other words:

It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World!!!!!!

Welllllllllll, it seems it's been a minute since I've posted anything here.  Okay, more like over a month but you know what I mean.  I guess you could say that I have been busy with work and trying to keep up with all these different shows that I've gotten hooked on lately.  Then there's the PS4 that keeps calling my name.  So as you can see, like the DVD above and the title of the post states, it's been a mad, mad. mad. mad world.
I mentioned that I have gotten hooked on several shows.  HBO came out with a new series called True Detective starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. They play two detectives for the Louisiana State Police investigating a murder.  Sort of.  The show takes place now and in the past so it bounces back and forth.  The retired McConaughey character is classic and he does such a great job portray him.
I watched the first show and thought, "I don't know yet." After the second show, I was hooked.  Apparently so was the rest of the United States since everyone crashed the HBO GO app trying to watch the season finale.
I've also gotten hooked on NBC's The Blacklist starring James Spader.  He plays Raymond (RED) Reddington and was on the FBI's most wanted list (#1 with a bullet) until he started "working" with them.  He has promised them the blacklist which is a list of criminals and terrorists that the world has no idea actually exist.  But there is a catch.  He will only work with Agent Elizabeth Keen, played by Megan Boone, who he has a very unusual interest in for some reason.  Add to that the fact that Keen's husband seems to be an undercover agent working for some other county and you have one hell of a show.
Then there is the new series Intelligence from CBS.  Josh Holloway stars as Gabriel Vaughn, a special forces type operative for the US Cyber Command.  By the very nature of the command name, you know there has to be computers involved and are they ever. It seems Gabriel has a rare genetic marker that allowed CyberCom to plant a computer chip in his brain.  This allows Gabriel to access all sorts of information and he is constantly plugged into the information highway, both public and private.  Now an operative like this would be very valuable and needs to be protected at all cost, so enter former Secret Service agent turned CyberCom special agent Riley Neal, played by Meghan Ory. Every time I watch the show though, I think to myself, "Is this how The Matrix was created?"
Next, I got hooked on AMC's The Walking Dead.  I had never watched this until this year.  I started watching it on Netflix and watched the first three seasons.  Then with a little help from On-Demand and Bit Torrent, I was able to catch up on season four.
I've mentioned the Starz original Black Sails and how I was beginning to get into that.  Well, the season has ended now and I already can't wait for next season. Flint and the crew of the Walrus have found what they are looking for but will they get it?
At first, when I saw the picture above, I thought that Captain Flint was looking forward to next season but in reality, he found the true cause of this mad, mad, mad, mad world.  He realized that it was march and that could only mean one thing.  IT'S TIME FOR.......
Yep, it's March Madness time again and the NCAA Tournament is in full swing.  So far, we have seen the Dayton Flyers knock off Ohio State and had the pleasure of watching Duke get sent home by Mercer.  Wichita State is continuing its unbeaten season (35-0) and will face Kentucky on Sunday.  Like every year, I fill out my bracket and try to predict the tourney but this year, I joined most of the nation when Dayton busted my bracket in the very first game.  But before you know it, this will all be over.  The tourney will crown a winner and the madness will stop.  But all of this is just a build up.  A lead in to something greater.  It's just a time filler until the arrival of......
YESSSSS!!!! April 6th on HBO.  Game of Thrones season four debuts.  What will happen in the north? Will Daenerys Targaryen enter Westeros and take the Iron Throne? Will Joffrey maintain "control" or will Tywin Lannister tire of his infantile grandsons tantrums and officially take the throne?  What about Tyrion?  How will he amuse us this season?  Will the White Walkers get through the wall?  So many questions?  I can't wait to get the answers.  In anticipation of the season, here are several trailers for this season.
Until next time folks, remember the great words of Cersei Lannister, "When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.  There is no middle ground."

Finally some good news

Back in 2013 when I pre-ordered my PS4, one of the games I was most anticipating was Watch Dogs from Ubisoft, the same company that brought us Assassin's Creed.  I pre-ordered the game so that I could have it on release day of the PS4 and it was gonna be a toss up what I would play more.  Would it be Assassin's Creed or Watch Dogs that I would play first? Well, before I had to answer that question, Ubisoft answered it for me by delaying the release of Watch Dogs until the Spring of 2014.  That's OK though, I still have the pre-order whenever it comes out.  But then Monday I got a little bit of a scare.  All over the internet were reports that Ubisoft had forfeited the copyright to Watch Dogs and that the game was scrapped and may never be released.  Thankfully that was not the case.  In a statement from Ubisoft, they said:
“On February 1, 2014, Ubisoft Entertainment received an email from TEAS@uspto.gov notifying Ubisoft Entertainment that a Request for Express Abandonment had been filed in connection with Application Serial No. 85642398. The Request for Express Abandonment purports to be signed by the Chief Executive Officer of Ubisoft Entertainment, Yves Guillemot.
“Mr. Guillemot, however, did not sign the Request for Express Abandonment, nor did Ubisoft Entertainment file the Request for Express Abandonment. The Request for Express Abandonment is fraudulent and was not filed by Ubisoft Entertainment or its representative.”
So apparently it was all some kind of fraudulent scam?  I don't know.  Maybe it was some elaborate marketing ploy to create a stir and get the people fired up.  Maybe it was just a scam.  Who know? But people are talking.  All I know is that I can't wait for it to come out.  If you aren't familiar with it, check out this video.
So, see, it is gonna be awesome!!!!

In other good news, Netflix has announced that it has renewed their original series House of Cards for a third season.  It is a little unusual since the second season hasn't even started (it becomes available Feb. 14) and they have confirmed a third season.  But oh well, Netflix sort of plays by their own rules too.  If you haven't seen season one of House of Cards, you really must check it out.  Here is the trailer for season one.
I won't post the trailer for season two so as not to ruin anything for you in case you decide to watch it.

So, Watch Dogs and House of Cards? Life is good!!!!  Until next time, peace!!!!

52's the mike!! Omaha!! Omaha!!!

What day is it?  It's not hump day but Super Bowl Sunday and if you don't understand the title of this post, then you probably don't watch a lot of football.  This is more than just a game.  It's an event with the game, partying, tons of food and of course, the real reason everyone tunes in, the commercials. This year features the high-scoring Denver Broncos offense led by league MVP Peyton Manning as they take on the Seattle Seahawks and the Legion of Boom defense led by Richard Sherman.

Some fun facts about the Broncos:
Peyton Manning is coming off the greatest regular season ever by a QB with 5,477 yards passing and 55 TDs. He is trying to become the first QB to win Super Bowl titles with two different franchises, having gone 1-1 while quarterback of the Colts.

Led by Pro Bowl selection Demaryius Thomas, Denver has four receivers with 10+ TDs and more than 60 catches each -- Thomas, Julius Thomas, Eric Decker and Wes Welker. Nine different receivers had at least 10 catches during the regular season with eight different receivers catching TDs. Demaryius Thomas and Decker each had more than 1,000 yards for the second consecutive season, while Welker and Julius Thomas both had more than 750 yards.
Some fun facts about the Seahawks:
Russell Wilson has the most regular-season wins by a QB in his first two seasons since 1950 and is tied for most including postseason in first two seasons since 1950 with 27. He is the only player in NFL history to have a 100+ passer rating in both his rookie and second season.

Led by Richard Sherman, Seattle's defense and its "Legion of Boom" secondary finished the regular season ranked first in total and scoring defense. It ranked first in points per game allowed, yards per game allowed, passing yards per game allowed and total takeaways. It was seventh in rushing yards per game allowed.
It's sure to be a hard fought game with a lot of big hits, whether its the Seattle D blowing up a receiver or a Denver receiver running their notorious illegal pick play and lighting up a DB.  All I know is I can't wait for kickoff.  And speaking of kickoff, I'm gonna get out of here and finish cooking up some typical non-organic, unhealthy, bad for you super snacks.  Enjoy the game!!!!!

PS - Beware of the Doberhuahua!!!! (just watch the commercials and you will understand)

Come sail away with me

Like my buddy Simon, I have been playing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag ever since it came out on the PS4.  Well, I've played other things on the PS4 but I love AC4.  Those that know me know that the whole pirate culture is in my blood and that I am drawn to that type of thing.  Now, with AC4, I get to actual "live" the life of a pirate.  Sailing the seas, attacking and pillaging ships as I see fit.  Running and hiding on obscure islands.  Seeking and finding hidden treasures and of course, defying authority every chance I get.  I've actually finished the story line for AC4 a while ago and have been actually trying to complete all the side missions (I'm at 90%).  I've also be playing one of the DLC games, Freedom Cry, where I get to play as Adewale, my former quartermaster.
I think the thing that I really find interesting is that, just as I was needing something new with AC4, Starz! came out with their new series, Black Sails.  And of course, it is about pirates so you know I am hooked.
I also found it interesting how the two cross over.  Jack Rackham is in both and so is Anne Bonny.  In AC4, Anne ends up taking over as my quartermaster aboard the Jackdaw when Adewale leaves to join the assassins.  In Black Sails, she is chumming around with Jack Rackham in the first episode (I haven't watched the second episode yet but it's on the DVR).  Above you can see the AC4 incarnation of Anne while to the right is the Black Sails interpretation.  She's a little more edgy and straight-forward in Black Sails.  She also has a tendency to say whatever is on her mind. As proven when we see her in the tavern and she's listening to Jack Rackham drone on and on.  She looks up at him and simply states, "I wanna f#ck!" Well, all right then.  Definitely not your AC4 Anne Bonny.

I think everyone knows the story of AC4 but maybe not Black Sails. So allow me to enlighten you.  The show is based on Captain Flint and his merry band of misfit pirates (including a recently added "cook" by the name of John Silver).  They sail out of New Providence and the Caribbean is their playground. According to the open credits of the pilot episode, "In 1715, West Indies, the pirates of New Providence Island threaten maritime trade in the region. The laws of every civilized nation declare them hostis humani generis; enemies of all mankind. In response, the pirates adhere to a doctrine of their own...war against the world." The show stars Toby Stephens as Captain Flint, Luke Arnold as John Silver, Tom Hopper as Billy Bones, Toby Schmitz as Jack Rackham  and Mark Ryan as Gates.
Left to right: Billy Bones and Captain Flint
But what would a Starz! original be without some sexy women around?  Hannah New plays Eleanor Guthrie, Jessica Parker Kennedy plays scheming prostitute Max and Clare Paget as the previously mentioned Anne Bonny.
Max (on the left) had a special way of consoling Eleanor Guthrie and her fine booty
It will be interesting to see how Starz! does with this series and I will try to keep you updated.  Looking on the net, it looks like this season is only eight episodes but Season 2 is supposed to be 10 episodes.  Speaking of Black Sails, I think I will go watch the second episode now.  Until next time, I leave you with these words from AC4 and Mary Read (James Kidd), "Nothing is true. Everything is permitted. This is the world's only certainty."

Are friends electric?

Now the light fades out
And I wonder what I'm doing
In a room like this
There's a knock on the door
And just for a second I thought
I remembered you
Hello and welcome to my new blog, Are Friends Electric? This is my own little cyber-world where we can all take a peek behind the curtain.  As I said, this is my new blog because I decided to abandon my old blog when it abandoned me.  Well, that's not entirely true. My blog didn't abandon me but the inspiration did.  I started the old blog to honor a musician that I had followed since 1981 but then he abandoned his fans and became more tyrannical than Joffrey Baratheon sitting on the Iron Throne.  Oh uh....sorry.  I have a tendency to talk using movie and TV references.  Oh, and songs.  I use a lot of song references, too.  Even the name of this blog is actually the title of a Gary Numan song.  I even included some lyrics at the beginning of this post.  Oh, wait, I went off on a some wild tangent there and completely got sidetracked. Sorry about that.  Uh, let's see, where were we?  Hmm....welcome......yadda yadda yadda.....curtain....yeah check.....old blog...mmm hmm.......abandoned....yeah OK, that's where we were.  So like I was saying, when this half man abandoned his fan base, I decided to abandon the blog and start a new one.  So here we are.
“You will be required to do wrong no matter where you go. It is the basic condition of life, to be required to violate your own identity. At some time, every creature which lives must do so. It is the ultimate shadow, the defeat of creation; this is the curse at work, the curse that feeds on all life. Everywhere in the universe.” ― Philip K. Dick, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
I plan on using this as a forum to share my likes and dislikes.  A place where I can ramble about things that interest me and occasionally rant about things that drive me mad.  I'm not sure where this all will go and I don't really want to know where it will lead because I believe that in the journey is where the fun lies.  Maybe it will be like the quote from Blue Man Group that I love so much (and it also appears at the bottom of the blog).
Taking the audience on a Jungian journey into the collective unconscious by using the shadow as a metaphor for the primal self that gets repressed by the modern persona and also by using an underground setting and labyrinth office design to represent both the depths of the psyche and the dungeon-like isolation of our increasingly mechanistic society which prevents people from finding satisfying work or meaningful connections with others. - Blue Man Group, Rock Concert Movement #237
Then again, who really knows? So if you choose to join me on my adventure, you are more than welcome.  If not, thanks for stopping by and may fortune always smile on you and may you always be at peace.  Now, let's take a peek behind that curtain.

Hey P!!!! Winter Is Coming (A Rated PG Rant)

Yes, I know that winter is already here and that this is actually from Game of Thrones but it's sort of how I feel right now.  I feel like a wildling from outside the wall that's trying to make sense of what it is going on inside the wall.  I have a great concern about a half-man that is trying to take control of a land that is not his.  Of course, I am not talking about Tyrion Lannister trying to take the Iron Throne and ruling Westeros.  I am talking about that "skinny motherfucker with the high voice" trying to take control of the internet.  That's right.  I'm talking about Prince and his ridiculous lawsuits against his fans.  I first became a Prince fan back in 1981 after hearing the Controversy album.  Now 33 years later, I would like to say that my love for the man and his music has not changed but grown.  I would like to say that but I can't.  At least I can't say it honestly.  Yes, I bought the albums (remember those?) and the CDs and the cassettes.  I saw the movies.  I went to the concerts.  Yes, I have my share of bootlegs.  Originally I bought them from my local wrecka stow but then I discovered the online world of the purple peeps. I found out that there was tons of "free music" out there being shared by like-minded fans.  It was like I was a purple junkie needing my fix.  But like a junkie, one day I had a "bad trip" and it woke me up.  It opened my eyes to how I was wasting my life looking for the next fix.  What was the bad trip?  It was an actual trip I made to Chicago to see the Purple Prima Donna open up his Welcome 2 Chicago shows.  My wife and I drove the 600 plus miles to Chicago and were so excited.  Then when we get to The United Center, we wait outside for the doors to open.  Now I am used to waiting on the Purple Pain to take the stage but we were locked out of the arena because he was still doing soundcheck.  We were told that he wanted to make sure it was perfect for the crowd.  LOL!!! That's a good one.  When we finally got inside and found our seats we found out that for some reason, they flipped the stage for this one night.  So instead of sitting at the point of the symbol, we are now sitting at the top rounded end.  Hmmm..... I paid for two particular seats based on the setting of the stage and then I end up at the opposite end because they flipped the stage for this one show.  Gee, thanks Prince!!!!  Ok, nothing I can do about that but then the show starts. Right from the beginning, its the worst show I have been to in my life.  Yeah, the music is good but the sound was terrible and the video cameras for the big screens were filming his elbow half the time.  The show was pretty much a standard Welcome 2 show and since I had so many of them already, I could pretty much predict what was coming next, right down to the "ad libs."  When a song started up that I knew was heavy on P's guitar playing my heart started racing.  But the little bastard hardly played anything on the guitar.  Purple Rain? Nope, no guitar.  Then there was the bullshit encores.  After the first, there was like a 30-40 minute wait with the house lights coming on.  I knew from past concerts that there was still hope and sure enough, here he comes on a mountain bike.  He played two songs and then left.  That was it.  Nothing else.  I read later where he said the long delay was they fired the sound man between encores and that's what took so long.  He should have fired him before the show.  If we waited for him to get the sound right during the soundcheck and this is what we were left with, I would hate to see it before. But that was then.

2013 and the illusion continues.  We are teased with all this 3rd Eye Girl stuff and Live Stream snippets and "bootlegs" that "leak" out on the net.  We are promised Plectrum Electrum and a Prince CD before the end of the year.  We hear how they are recording all the time and this is the best album ever and just wait because it will blow you away.  Well, we are "still waiting."  Like the bootleg Welcome 2 the Beautiful Experience says, "Where's the shit man?" Oh, let me guess, "It's just around the corner..." right?  Please, what do we look like baby, yesterday's fools?

2014 and now the Purple Punk is going after his fans.  Seriously?  You hired a law firm to sue your fans for sharing your music?  Ok then.  The fans, the ones who got you where you are?  The ones who buy your music (when you actually release some) and attend your shows? Explain to me how that makes sense? The people that are supporting you and making sure that we don't pay for bootlegs are the ones you are suing?  There are companies and people out there charging outrageous amounts of money for what was being traded for free but you don't go after them? Did you fall off your heels and hit your head?  Is your afro too tight?  To borrow a line from the movie Full Metal Jacket, "What is your major malfunction, Numb Nuts?" Attacking your fans, the ones that support you makes as much sense as trying to hunt squirrels with a rake!!!  I don't get it.  But that's Prince for you.  Love4OneAnother?  Nope!  New Power Generation? I'll pass.

It was a great ride and I thoroughly enjoyed it but like I said at the beginning, winter is coming.  This is the winter of our discontent and that discontent is focused on you P.  You went after NPR Universe, DaBang, Purple House, Funky Experience and others when you should be going after the ones actually make money off what was traded freely.  How much did it cost you to hire the law firm for the lawsuits?  Take that money and use it to deliver the music that you have promised us since the NPGMC.  The music that we have paid for from your bullshit websites.  Why must we play this silly game? Instead we get the petty lies and alibis. Do you remember this?
U may have lost me, but I found myself
The ones who love me without condition - this is my wealth
And with these words I will win
Repeat them over and over again
All understand and all standunder this affirmation now
By the power invested in me by God...
All negativity bows

We are the ones who loved you unconditionally.  But apparently that's not enough wealth for you.  All negativity bows?  What's more negative than attacking your fans?  Seriously?!?!
What are we looking 4?
Yes
Well, first and foremost, U have 2 get free
Free?
U know, when it comes time 2 download your work into your fans' computers U can't have any other contractual obligations
Ahh
Second of all, U have 2 get smart

So smarten up before you lose the loyal fans.  This world can be so empty living in it all alone.  I will still listen to the music but I will not support you or your continued lies and empty promises.  Winter is coming, the war will go on and on and it's your Saturday morning cartoons that awaits. Yes this is really GOODBYE!!!!!

It's such a shame our friendship had 2 end!!!!!!!!!

P.S.  I'll probably get sued for this post since I "borrowed" from a lot of Prince lyrics to express my displeasure.  So we will see what the Paisley Police do. LOL!!!  But I am not sweating that, I just hope Shakespeare doesn't have relatives that try to sue me since I used his discontent line from Richard III.  Oh, well.  PEACE!!!!
